Churro Balls



A delicious take on the traditional churro is the Churro Ball. These little morsels have a sweet cinnamon-sugar coating and are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ideal for eating on their own or dipped in chocolate sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

In a saucepan, heat water, butter, and salt over medium heat until it boils

Remove from heat and stir in the flour until a dough forms

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, until the dough is smooth

In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350F 175C

Scoop small portions of the dough and shape them into balls

Fry the churro balls until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch

Remove from oil and drain on paper towels

Roll the fried churro balls in the sugar-cinnamon mixture while still warm

Serve immediately and enjoy!
